• Authorisation summary

    This screen lists all the roles and/or accounts you have the authority to act on behalf of for this client, including:

    Tax Agent Portal

    Add another role/account

    To add yourself as the registered tax agent for another role or account:

    • select Add authorisation.

    You will be navigated to the Add authorisation screen where you can add the following roles/accounts:

    • income tax
    • activity statement account/s
    • fringe benefits tax
    • excise account/s.

    Selecting income tax will provide access to view all roles, including the client's activity statement role.

    If another registered tax agent or BAS agent (registered agent) has been authorised to represent the client for other roles, you will see their registered agent number (RAN) against that role in Client details – Tax agent details.

    Please confirm with your client before changing these authorisations and only nominate yourself for the roles your client has specifically asked you to undertake.

    End authorisation for a role/account

    To remove yourself as the registered tax agent for one or more roles/accounts:

    • choose the relevant role/account
    • select End authorisation.

    You will be navigated to the Authorisation – confirm postal address screen where you will be requested to confirm the postal address details for these roles/accounts.

    Remove client from your practice list

    Before you remove a client from your client list you should first check other information that may need to be removed and updated. Updating the client information with the last known contact details should prevent us contacting you unnecessarily.

    From the Client details screen you can review and update the:

    • business address
    • email address
    • contact details and phone number.

    If you are no longer the registered tax agent for this client:

    • select Remove client.

    You will be navigated to the Authorisation – confirm postal address screen where you will be requested to confirm the postal address details for this client.

    Add another role/account

    To add yourself as the registered BAS agent for another activity statement account:

    • select Add authorisation.

    You will be navigated to the Add authorisation screen where you can add additional accounts for the activity statement role.

    End authorisation for a role/account

    To remove yourself as the registered BAS agent for one or more activity statement accounts:

    • choose the relevant role/account
    • select End authorisation.

    You will be navigated to the Authorise transaction screen.

    Remove client from your practice list
