• Authorisation - change postal address

    This screen allows you to change the postal address for the roles/accounts you are adding.

    The client’s postal address can be:

    The default address displayed is your practice postal address.


    Client’s postal address to be your practice postal address

    For the client’s postal address to be changed to the address displayed:

    • choose the relevant role/account
    • select Next.

    For the client’s postal address to be changed to your practice address, where the address displayed is incorrect:

    • enter the correct postal address 
    • choose the relevant role/account
    • select Next.

    If the postal address for your practice is incorrect, you will need to contact both us and the Tax Practitioners Board.

    Client’s postal address to remain as is (not your practice address)

    For the client’s address to remain as is:

    • select Next.

    Due to privacy reasons, the client’s current postal address can not be displayed until they have been successfully added to your client list.

    Completing postal address fields
    Address line 1 and 2:
    • address line 1 may include any one of the following: C/, C/-, C/O, CO, Care Of, GPO, GPO Box, PO, PO Box, Post Box, Box, Post Office, P/-, Locked Bag, Private Bag, RMB, RSD, RMD
    • address line 1 should not be blank
    • address lines 1 and 2 must not contain numbers only or the characters ~`!@#$%^*_=+{}[]\|;:”,.?<>
    • should not contain ‘corner’ of two streets or ‘as above’.
    Suburb or town should not:
    • be blank for Australian addresses
    • contain the following characters ~`!@#$%^*_=+{}[]\|;:”,.?<>
    • contain numbers only
    • contain three or more repeated characters.
    • Where the address is:
      • in Australia, use the drop down menu to select the state
      • outside of Australia, leave the field blank.
    • mandatory for Australian addresses
    • should be four numbers.
