• How do I access the portal as a new user?

    This How do I lesson shows you how to access the portal as a new user with your myGov username and password or with an AUSkey.  





    You access the Business Portal through the ATO website at www.ato.gov.au 

    Choose 'Login' to the portals from the Online Services box on the right hand side.

    Select 'Login' under the Business Portal heading.

    ‘Business Portal – Welcome page’ screen will be displayed.


    Select the Continue button.

    The ‘ Australian Government Authentication Service Login’ screen will be displayed.


    Select your 'myGov' or 'AUSkey' from the 'Select' dropdown box.

    The chosen credential populates the 'Select' field.  

    If you selected:  

    • myGov, click on the ‘Continue’ button. If you haven’t linked the relevant ABN to your myGov account, you will be taken through the linking process. If the relevant ABN is linked to your myGov account, you will be redirected to the myGov log in screen.  
    • If you selected AUSkey, type in your password and select continue. 


    Enter your password.

    Select the Continue button.

    Business Portal homepage screen will be displayed.
