• Private ruling and objection - further information - details

    This screen allows you to enter information on the screen and attach files. You must either enter information or attach at least one file. The maximum length of the Further information field is 4,000 characters. You can attach up to six files.

    To enter information

    Go to Further information and type or copy text into the field.

    To attach a file

    1. Select the Browse button next to the File attachment field.
    2. Follow the instructions in the file selection dialogue box to locate and select the file on your computer.
    3. Select the Attach button next to the File attachment field.

    The selected file will appear in the Attached files box. Continue this process until all up to six files are attached.

    Attachment guidelines

    The portal can accept files of up to 4MB each in .doc, .rtf, .xls, .tif, .png, .jpg .gif, .zip, .mpp, .ppt, .pdf.bmp, .docx, .dotx, .xlsx, .xltx, .pptx, .potx, .ppsx formats.

    We recommend you:

    • provide any image files in black and white with 200 dots per inch (dpi) resolution
    • zip’ large documents
    • compress images.

    To remove an incorrectly attached file

    1. Choose the check box next to the file you wish to remove.
    2. Select the Remove files button.

    The selected file will be removed from the Attached files box.

    To submit

    Select the Next button when you are satisfied that all the files are correctly attached.

    A receipt number will be provided on a confirmation screen when you have submitted the form.

    The online form is stored in Mail. You can view any online forms that you have submitted by selecting Mail on the left navigation bar – Sent items view.

    Rejected file messages

    Submitted files may fail to transmit successfully. If any of the attached files are rejected, a message will be sent to your Mail - inbox. The message will identify the rejected files and give reasons for the rejection.

    Rejected file messages will usually appear in your Mail - inbox within a few minutes of submission. However some may take up to 72 hours.

    You should contact your internet service provider (ISP) for help if you receive a message advising a file attached to your online form was rejected as it was corrupt, contained a virus or is unable to be opened.
